Our History

2025

Transformation

FIMPE celebrates 20 years of driving digital validation in Mexico. We updated our visual identity to reflect a more innovative, approachable, and tech-driven brand. Additionally, we integrated the validation of migration formats into our platform, expanding our commitment to inclusion and secure authentication for all.

2023

Facial Recognition

We added identity validation via facial recognition approved by the INE and enabled this option on our multibiometric platform, Biosmart®.

2021

LoFirmo

We developed a platform to digitally sign documents with legal validity, issuing preservation certificates in accordance with NOM 151.

2019

SAT Digital Onboarding

We began validating digital certificates (e.firma) with Mexico’s Tax Administration Service (SAT) and developed solutions for digital onboarding.

2018

INE · Renapo

We established interconnection to the data verification services provided by INE and RENAPO.

2015

Transportation

We created a continuous clearing and auditing chamber for public transportation fare collection systems, serving as a mechanism for transparency and control across different systems operating within a city or state, contributing to their interoperability.

2014

Biometrics

We designed and developed the interoperable and collaborative Biosmart® technology platform as a tool to help eliminate identity theft, impersonation, and money laundering.

2009

Financial Inclusion / Social Programs

We enabled digital transformation in the delivery processes of social support programs (Prospera, Oportunidades, Sin Hambre) through biometric authentication of beneficiaries, removing technological barriers that prevented delivery in remote or underserved areas.

  • 25.5 million Mexican beneficiaries
  • 38,000 delivery points
  • 515 million biometric validations
  • Coverage in 93% of the country’s municipalities

2007

Technological Shift

We led the upgrade of point-of-sale terminals (POS) to accept chip-enabled cards, helping standardize the infrastructure for electronic payments and reaching a growth from 100,000 to 500,000 POS terminals in a single year.

2006

Boletazo

We led and coordinated the Boletazo program to promote the use of electronic payment methods among Mexican society. This initiative generated an indirect tax revenue of 12.4 billion pesos thanks to the unified efforts of the entire banking sector.

2005

Founding

The Trust was established to extend the benefits of Electronic Payment Infrastructure to society, with the objective of promoting the use of electronic payment methods across different sectors of the Mexican economy and supporting social programs for the distribution of subsidies or benefits from the federal, state, and municipal governments.
